What is UGC NET/JRF preparation for Tourism Management EXAM for Assistant Professor and Research

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has entrusted the National Testing Agency (NTA) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, an examination for assessing the qualifications of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’, ‘Junior Research Fellowship, and Assistant Professor’ positions in Indian universities and colleges.

The awarding of a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or qualification for Assistant Professorship is based on the candidate’s overall performance in UGC-NET Papers I and II combined. Candidates who qualify merely for Assistant Professorship are not eligible for the JRF grant.

Candidates who pass the eligibility exam for Assistant Professorship are subject to the norms and regulations of the relevant universities/colleges/state governments, as applicable to Assistant Professor recruitment. UGC-NET is held twice a year (June and December).

To regularise the UGC-NET examination cycle, the National Testing Agency (NTA), with the approval of UGC, is holding UGC NET June 2023 in 83 topics in chosen cities across the country.
